In July 2021, Gayle O’Brien, TeleSpecialists VP of Quality, arrived home and found out her husband had fallen in the shower due to a suspected stroke. When Gayle and her husband arrived in the Emergency Department, TeleSpecialists was called in to consult on the case. As soon as the TeleSpecialists physician came on screen, Gayle felt a sense of relief, knowing her husband was in good hands. The TeleSpecialists physician provided care, worked with the ED doctor to get a cardiologist involved, and requested additional testing.
Thanks to the TeleSpecialists physician and hospital staff, Gayle’s husband is now able to walk independently, without a cane. Gayle was able to see TeleSpecialists work first hand and is so proud to work for a company dedicated to saving lives like her husband’s.
