Support Services
Onboarding and Implementation
TeleSpecialists can provide your hospital with a road map to help you implement a comprehensive TeleNeurology program from the ground up, that works for your system. Our Implementation/ Onboarding Team begins with a strategy to build your clinical program, then tailors your telemedicine program within your clinical infrastructure.
Our Implementation Plan consists of four distinct phases:
- Planning and Analysis: A gap analysis is conducted and the TeleSpecialists team reviews current processes, workflow, data and any accreditations the facility has. Pain points are also discussed and taken into consideration.
- Design: A steering committee is selected from the hospital staff, new tools are introduced, and the TeleSpecialists services are integrated. Representation from key constituents are encouraged to participate. ED physician leadership, ED Nursing leadership, EMS representation, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, neurology, TeleNeurology, hospitalist service and IT all play a vital part in designing a successful program.
- Lean Transformation: A specialized medical TeleSpecialists team will arrive on-site to go through a Rapid Improvement Workshop. This team will help to create goals and establish roles and responsibilities for all team members. Once established, the team will create a Standard Workflow document to decrease deviation in care, and designate quality metric data to monitor and support.
- Monitoring and Support: After services go live, a Quality Program Specialist is designated to each facility to monitor metrics and provide process improvement recommendations to the team. All outliers that deviate from the facility’s goals will be assessed on an individual basis and process improvement recommendations will be made, if necessary. Any changes are documented in the Standard Workflow and redistributed to the team.
