Support Services
About TeleCare:
TeleCare is a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based web application created to facilitate exceptional communication between TeleSpecialists’ in-house Rapid Response Center (RRC), the physicians on call, and its hospital partners. TeleCare controls the quality and speed when connecting hospital staff to the on-call physicians and allows the responding physician to capture and share consult timestamps, notes and orders. The proprietary TeleCare service is provided exclusively to our partner hospitals at no additional charge.
What Makes TeleCare Exceptional:
TeleCare allows a facility to see its patient cases in real-time. Hospital team members are set up with individual logins and customized permissions that allow hospital staff to access and view their facility’s data in TeleCare.
TeleCare also comes equipped with a functionality called eAlert. With the click of a button, a facility can immediately and automatically notify TeleSpecialists of a patient needing to be seen. RRC receives the eAlert and notifies the physician on call, who can then beam into the facility’s telemedicine cart. By utilizing the eAlert notification, the facility can save precious time by activating emergent cases like a Stroke Alert without a phone call.
In addition to eAlerts, TeleCare offers clinical tools and operation workflow assessment tools, giving the hospital’s team access to review, evaluate, and improve their telemedicine program. A Process Improvement workflow tool has been built into TeleCare to allow teams to perform a root cause analysis on individual cases or look at delay trends as a whole. TeleCare also allows hospital teams to view alteplase administration timelines (fishbone diagram), easily access and interpret case reviews and quickly reconcile billing each month.
TeleSpecialists’ Quality Team also monitors the quality metrics closely in TeleCare. Our Quality Program Specialists can assess outliers to quickly address issues. TeleSpecialists’ response times, less than 4 minutes, are much quicker than the industry standard; however, we are always looking for ways to help our hospital partners improve workflow processes.
