Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC)
Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) is the most demanding of the stroke certifications. Hospitals earning CSC certification are those that have specific abilities to receive and treat the most complex stroke cases. Hospitals are required to provide the highest standard of clinical service, a framework to improve patient care, and the ability to increase patient volumes based on EMS routing protocols. CSCs have advanced capabilities and are able to provide advanced intervention, including thrombectomy, as well as interventions related to the treatment of aneurysms and hemorrhagic stroke. With this certification, hospitals have a competitive edge in the marketplace and recruiting physicians. We work closely with partner hospitals to help build out a plan to achieve CSC certification.
